Our Story
A Legacy of Love, Care, and Compassion
Spencer Home Care (SHC) was founded by Lakeifa in November 2020, inspired by the memory of her beloved grandfather, Willie “Grandpy” Spencer. Our agency proudly serves Philadelphia, PA, and the surrounding counties.
Grandpy suffered a stroke in 1984, and from that moment forward, his daughter my mother, Pennie became his primary caregiver. Watching her care for him with such patience, love, and devotion sparked a passion in me at a young age. I saw firsthand the power of compassionate caregiving and the impact it has on a person’s dignity, comfort, and quality of life.
That experience planted a dream in my heart a dream to one day create an agency that would provide seniors with the same level of care, compassion, and respect my grandfather received.
Today, that dream is Spencer Home Care.
SHC was built on family values, genuine care, and a commitment to serving others with kindness and excellence. Every client we support is treated with the same respect, dignity, and attentiveness my grandfather was shown. His legacy lives on through the work we do and the lives we touch each day.
